We are still celebrating Black History Month and hopefully you grabbed some of our new Black History Month collection before it ends and you have used some of our free BHM templates! We have enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful faces of clinicians across the globe tagging us in their BHM content, keep it up!
In keeping that BLACK AF momentum, we are excited to introduce the BTM Executive Team full of Black therapists from across the US. This group of mental health clinicians and visionary leaders, have committed to expanding our mission, elevating Black mental health professionals, and creating a community-centered ecosystem for both therapists and the communities they serve.
Each director brings unique expertise and energy, helping BTM scale, innovate, and provide meaningful support to our members. Together, they are turning our vision into action.

Director of Marketing & Visibility: Damani Anderson, LMFT- Associate aka "My Big Black Therapist" is responsible for elevating our visuals to increase our brand awareness, media presence, and content initiatives. Directors of Community & Member Engagement: Tandra Carter, LCSW and Denise Moore, LMHC have stepped into this role. They will be focused on member retention and engagement, they make sure our members feel supported, connected, and empowered to fully maximize the opportunities BTM offers. Director of Education & Clinical Supervision: Dr. NaRicia Futrell is curating professional development and continuing education opportunities for members and nonmembers. This director equips Black mental health professionals with the resources and training they need to thrive. Directors of Sponsorship & Collaboration: Dr. Umieca Hankton and Jamil Matthews, LCSW are focused on building strategic partnerships and collaborative opportunities for Black Therapists Matter. Our Executive Team embodies the bold energy, vision, and dedication needed to expand BTM into more than just another directory. This hand selected team recognizes that we are building something different, from our branding to our mental health themed apparel, to the intentional efforts to build therapists up beyond the couch we have a unique recipe! And with this amazing team with various clinical and professional skills, elevation is here! It's low key a flex that everyone on our executive team has been a BTM tribe member since we launched in 2024. They are a reflection of our vision to grow and build from within!!!
